Lost City Comics

This is one of my favourite pages I’ve drawn so far.

For the titans, it was very important to me that I not take the same approach as, say, Attack on Titan, where the giants are firmly in the uncanny valley, grotesque and a perversion of humanity. I wanted my giants to be ubermensch, not untermensch, more like gods than like monsters. They were the heroes of the time they were made, meant to represent the power and ideals of their human creators. They’re terrifying but not grotesque. In other words, they’re fascists.
