A Mad Tea-Party 238
Chapter: > Part Six
Time for a brief powerpoint presentation.
I had a lot of fun with this page. There are now MAMMOTHS in this comic. That’s right. Mammoths make everything better.
Extra credit goes to anyone who can identify the images in Marcos’ little presentation here.
I definitely recognize the pic of a South Vietnamese police officer executing a prisoner. Is that supposed to be Simon de Bolivar up top? Along with WWII bombing runs? Whatever is going on underneath Stonehenge looks to be Egyptian or Mesopotamian.
That’s an affirmative on the Vietnamese prisoner, the Battle of Britain, Stonehenge, and Mesopotamian farmer. That is not Mr. Bolivar, though.
I’m wondering why they seem to idolize the past- it’s not exactly the best to do. If they DID study the past, they’d have more intelligence to know that the same stupid things being done at their present time are just a repeat of the thousands of years of human history! They should be saying to “learn from our past history”, or something.
You’re right, of course, but good luck convincing either the New Youth or the Maldivians of that.
For the record, the images that Jordan didn’t guess are Archduke Ferdinand, smokestacks at the Alberta Tar Sands, teepees on the Great Plains, and the aforementioned mammoth hunt.
